Ancient Egyptian pharaoh statue with gold headdress

Details

Produced by the Egyptian Ministry of Antiquities and IMG, and presented in London by Viking Cruises, this exhibition of 150 artifacts reveals a story around 3300 years old that has lived in modern hearts and minds for a century, since the tomb of the most famous of all the Pharaohs was found in 1922.

The Challenge

Our client, International Media Group, had a clear plan for the event, but they wanted our specialist skills in bringing together this launch event so it would make a lasting impression.

The main aim was to deliver a premium event that would attract positive press coverage and be well received by high-profile attendees, including dignitaries from Egypt.

The Solution

We gathered a team to deliver everything from prop lighting solutions to a fast turnaround plan so the installation could be assembled and dismantled with minimal disruption to the Saatchi Gallery’s other exhibitions, all while navigating potential politics and maintaining relationships with local residents.

The Impact

King Tut is a touring event, appearing in high-profile locations around the world. The London launch evening was considered the most successful one, with the timeless story of King Tutankhamun and the Pharaohs continuing to enthral audiences.
